This palm tree paradise is missing C&H

I'm still on hiatus, but wanted to share all the cuteness of our girls...esp with my Mom, who might be in need of a granddaughter fix. =0)

Things are really rough right now. We are trying some new AT techniques and I'm hoping within several weeks, we will see a big difference with Eme. My girl is extremely insecure and I think I held her for 7 hours yesterday while catching up on 6 loads of laundry, mopping my floors and cleaning the pool lanai while Daddy took the boys golfing. My arms really hurt today and I'm not sure how long I can keep going at the same pace. I'm tired. Dog tired.
A few new facts: Eme is doing the army crawl and is up on all fours and beginning to get the hang of the crawl. She can also pull herself up to a standing position.
She is still a picky eater somewhat. She hates strawberries, but loves blueberries.
She says, "more (while signing) every.single.minutes" or at least is seems like that.
She just wants more, more of anything and everything. She is filling out and getting some meat on her bones.
She won't go to sleep till around 11 and is up at 8:30. Her naps are usually only 20 minutes after I spend an hour trying to get her down. She wakes up full of anxiety and stressed. She will nap in the ergo if I keep going though, it's just I need the time without her strapped to me.
Sometimes in life, you meet someone that just *gets* you all the way around. To have met Colleen on the journey to our daughters was just the first connection that we made, now it's just icing on the cake with the *added* bonus of getting our girls together. Our tastes are very similar & you can tell in our girls clothing. My house was full of lots of noise with 5 kids running around, a dog that won't stay out of the pool and ipods blaring from every angle. There was lots and lots of laughter & lots and lots of tears. Thank you Col for bringing Hannah down for a fun weekend, for being exactly the friend I needed. It's all so surreal that Eme~Grace was here with us this time, we both must have said that a zillion times and just uploading the pics made me say it again. Dreams do come true.
I love ya dearly and can't wait to see you in Sept.

T: What a lovely time you guys had! Those girls with the matching outfits were TOO CUTE for words. They will spend many more happy times together, I'm sure. So glad you got to go out to dinner - can't believe the hubs watched ALL the kiddies! Yay for him! Great pix. We will miss you while you are on hiatus. This is a tough period for sure...

The pictures are wonderful. The girls are adorable. Like you, I am having a hard time right now with Molly. I spent much of the long holiday weekend in tears. It's hard, and I'm tired! What a blessing that you and Colleen have each other.

Take care!

Sorry things are so tough for you. Those of us looking from the outside in can really see E blossoming. Hopefully when you're back from your bloggy break things will be better.

Yep... thanks for making me cry...again! "sigh"..... it is so surreal isn't it? I cannot believe the Eme was in your home...HER home - and we got to be there with her. I mean just how cool is that? Aside from the tears, all I can say is GAWD THAT WAS FUN!!! I love you to pieces. You get me, and I love that. It doesn't happen often... (I'm a tough chick to get). One day we will live closer, I just know it.
Always here, and if I can manage it again...I will be down in a heartbeat if you call.

See you in September for some more FUN!

the friend that gets you are the best. I have many friends but one that really really gets me all around. Besides my husband, she is my rock - always there and she lives in CT btw - we used to be 2 miles from each other. So glad you had a great visit. the girls look so cute together. I'm sorry the exhaustion and everything else is kicking your butt. Still hoping to be boating your way before the summer ends - just need the boat ;) working on it.

The pics are awesome - totally understand about the break, btw. You just have to step back sometimes and figure stuff out.

Come back when you can!

I am sorry that you are having a rough time. I know that for us 3 months at home was a real turning point. We have been home 4 months now and my Em still wants to be held almost all the time- when she is not running somewhere:) And usually when I am holding her she is saying more, more, more. I totally know where you are coming from.

All the matching outfits... just so damn cute! Those girls are both so adorable. I bet they'll be great friends like their mom's.

I'm glad you got to spend some time with Col. Together you are certainly "two peas in a pod". And I'm sure she helped to lighten your load for a few days.

Take care. You know I love you and I miss you like crazy. But I understand what you're going through right now... even though I haven't lived it yet. Just remember I'm always here if you need me. xoxoxo

The matching outfits are really cute!!! The green polka dot tank is familiar. I saw it at Tarjay and had to buy it myself.

Glad you have such a great friend like that.

Hope things start to change for Eme and for you. I can only imagine how exhausted you must be.

Isn't it amazing how friendships can be formed?? I am SO thankful that you have Col and that you have formed such an amazing bond. I totally get that and how that person can be so important to you and your family. Fun pics of the girls together! Realizing the last pics were of Eme's referral and now she's here is surreal!

Praying for you friend and for you sweet little Eme as you work on healing her heart. Oh how I know you would just like to take her hurt away. Praying for added strength for you as you go through your day to day tasks.

Love ya.

All of these rough times will soon be a distant memory I promise.

The pictures with the matching ensems: smashing.

The friendship you share with Colleen: priceless

As for the rest, a hug and high five from the trenches. It seems things find a groove and then a new issue pops up for a while. It is one very difficult road at times but the girls we get to travel with...they're the very best.

PS Interesting that Miss C here also detests strawberries but has a love of the blueberry too. The only thing she hates more than a strawberry is tomato-based sauces. We won't be going Italian very often ;0)
