It was a weekend packed full of fun! Colleen & I managed to squeeze a whole lotta stuff into every minute of every day. We ate, shopped, danced & sang ourselves silly. We popped the cork of champagne on the beach twice and chatted the night away while watching the stars fall out of the sky, literally.
We had the time of our lives & it was so nice to have no worries for one solid weekend.
I really needed the refresher and feel rejuvinated with my kids. According to my honey, Eme was really good and handled the weekend away from me just fine....even though she wasn't feeling totally up to par.

Eme just gets prettier and prettier, and I love the one with them face to face:) Gald she did well with you away...have not done that yet, maybe soon though:)
Oh, I long for that kind of time with a buddy (and on a beach instead of snow.....much better choice).
We've been back from China since the end of Aug. with DD#2 so a whole week-end might have to wait for a bit but I did do an over-nighter about a month ago and they did fine.

GAWD was that FUN! Really.. every stinkin second was better than the one before. Silly photo's, falling stars, Christmas trees in the ocean, "shouldn't we tell someone we are here?"... cats screaming... not to mention the fabulous cocktails, food and shopping. Well yes... now that was FUN!
To do all over again in a few months yes? I can't wait. I love you my friend. I am so blessed to have met you and have you be such a big part of my life.

I think it is so cool that you both found each other through the common bond of adoption and that you have such a wonderful friendship. It's very rare to really find someone you can connect with as a true friend. (connect on the level of sisterhood) I love looking at your pictures and can only imagine how much fun you both had. I'm sure it was totally good for both your souls. :0)

That sounds and looks like such a GREAT weekend. Champagne on the beach with no kids...talking with a BF and eating and shopping...it does not get any better than that.
