dumping the Flip

While cleaning up all my cameras and trying to get my photos and videos all organized and backed up, I have found myself staring at the photos from our trip to China with nothing but gooey eyes. I stayed up till 1:00 AM just looking back at our referral weekend photos and remembering all the feelings of excitement and the whirlwind of activities that transpired. I found myself on the blog, reading all 200 & some comments on referral day and the tears just started flowing. I never really read any of those comments because at that time, we went from referral bliss to partying like rock stars with Colleen here visiting to full fledge paper work to packing to organizing my boys life while away to boarding a plane and so goes the story. There was really never a moment to pause and read all the lovely messages left. I think my heart leaped out of my chest and I wanted to say thank you.
I miss China. There I said it. I really enjoyed our entire trip there and I fell in love with the kindness of the people and the rich heritage of our girls homeland. There is something so simple and yet so detailed about life in China that I deeply admire. Could I go back? In a heartbeat.
So here are a few videos of Emerson...
*the first one was from China, taken at the White Swan hotel

*in GZ at the wet market

*first morning home

*Kita dog getting to know her new sister

*first morning giggles (ignore me, I was still in PJ's reading)

*learning to crawl (with Colleen as her audience=0)

*doing the scoot

* a daily dance with Daddy

*learning to walk

I miss China too. I totally get it. That time was just so magical and special. Stressful yes but so Wonderfully special! I'm homesick for that special time at times if that makes sense. The whole experience just can't be told in a way that justify's it unless your telling someone who has been there as well :)

Can't wait to see the Videos :) (Can't at work)

What a sweetie pie! She is beautiful, what a difference in just 2 months! She must be such a blessing to you and yours! And look at the difference your love has made in her life! Thanks for sharing a little bit of your lives! It gives me hope that one day I will hold my little girl and her brothers and sister will be helping her to walk!

Thanks for sharing the videos. Your boys are adorable with her - they remind me of my boys with Av. And I teared up a little when I watched J dancing with her. (yup, I'm a sap)

Great videos! Miranda thorough enjoyed watching. She said, "That baby happy!" She also called her "Phoebe" several times. And I admit, there are some moments when I see Emerson's pictures and she looks so much like Phoebe. What's her birthday?

Great walking, Eme! And I love the crawl. It's so good, too, to see Eme comfortable and happy in Jason's arms. You are doing such a beautiful job.

I can't believe the changes in her from the first videos to the last. Well, I can... but WOW! It's amazing.

Gawd.. I miss you guys!! Seeing the boys, and the house, and the music... I didn't realize how much I missed all of you until I just saw these. And I can't wait to see Eme in person some day.

That was so worth being a half hour late to my grocery store trip. LOL! Thanks for putting a smile on my face today.

I watched a few minutes of the videos. I love the one of her with her big brothers hovering around and there's nothing more manly than a big ol' man holding his baby. Thanks for sharing. Your Emerson Grace is absolutely precious; what a gift she is to your family. I'm so happy for you that after all the waiting, you finally have her home.

P.S. Your husband's a cutie pie!!

T- it is so inspiring to see what love, attention and time can bring into the life of a child. Loved the progress she has made! Beautiful stuff. The giggling was contagious and sweet W is so excited about her crawling you can just feel it. I was just thinking about all the great stuff you have shared with your readers. I have been around since the beginning and recall all the great photos and the videos you put together. I remember the one for your friend, and the story of the kids you fostered and then lost...so many stories and each has touched my soul. Just wanted to tell you thank you for continuing to share your journey. It is a blessing to be privy to your sweet family and I guess I just wanted to say thanks for sharing. Have a great day!

I am going to miss seeing G daily - but know that he is in good hands!

It does seem that everything happens for a reason - but it sucks while we are trying to figure it out. your princess is amazing ---but then again - so are your sons!
