Day 2 - Beijing

Today was jammed packed full of tours. We were up and out the door, where we went to Tiananmen Square and then took a tour through the Forbidden City, stopped for some lunch and went to the Great Wall. It certainly is a 7 Wonder of the World. Much steeper than I ever anticipated. We sweated and climbed in the 91* temps and then to top off the night we had 30 minutes to shower and be back down in the lobby for an Acrobat Show. It was fabulous!

We are packing up the room and are off in the morning for Nanchang, Jiangxi..... where we've been told there's a 90% chance that tomorrow will be Emerson Day!

Need to get this room packed up and I'm hoping that the internet is better in the next hotel. I have not been able to log into blogger at all. But I'm thankful that I have some back up blogger girls in place.

To my 3 boys~ we love you and miss you and are going to try to Skype you in the morning before we leave Beijing. Be good and don't forget to brush your teeth =0) Smooches!

Wow, I feel tearful just thinking of you finally holding your baby. How wonderful that this could be her last night without a mommy and daddy to rock her to sleep.

Thinking of you...

I too noticed your hair looks fab T, but I must say this WI girl is a little freaked to see J sweating! I am thrilled to see the sun is shining for you two, it is almost always overcast in Bejing. I am thinking like Daniella, it is 5p.m. here, 6a.m. where you are-this is in all likelihood the first day of Emerson's life with her forever family!! OMG...can.notwait!

How incredible for you guys! So close. I can tell you from personal experience that in Jiangxi, they like to mix it up a bit and yes, the babies can come early. After flying 26 hours, I got off the plane and was told by our guide that our babies were waiting for us in the lobby. I wish the same speed for you.

I can't believe you are actually THERE! Are you sure you are not madly photoshopping picutures somewhere??!

I am glad you are having a great time but the past couple of days must have been very distracting in the desire to get to lovely baby girl.

JUST A FEW MORE HOURS!!!! Hang in there!

(And get those photos up right quick, OK!)

So I"m catching up and can't believe that maybe today has been your day! At least you got a fair warning that you might get to have your sweet Eme a day early. We had no idea about Maddy and I was not prepared for her at all with our little gifts etc. Can't wait to check out the blog a little later today and see if there are pictures up. Hope you get better internet service at this next stop. (we did in Nanjing)
